Experience and Background

Shira Rosenfeld is Of Counsel to Shiboleth LLP in New York. Shira is a litigator who handles all stages of a litigation including developing strategies for a case, pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, trials, appeals and settlements. Shira has litigated a wide range of business and employment cases in state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution forums across the country. She has had key roles in cases involving securities and hedge fund fraud, corporate control, partnership disputes, insurance coverage, common law fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, fraudulent transfer, copyright, trademark, unfair competition, defamation and real estate. She has also handled federal, state and local employment claims involving anti-discrimination, retaliation, civil rights, wage-hour, Equal Pay Act, and pension, including ERISA, laws.

Shira has served and currently serves as general counsel to several small businesses for which she drafts contracts, deals with issues concerning corporate structure, and handles various employment issues, including drafting employment contracts and manuals.

Shira is a member of the New York bar, and is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She has also been admitted pro hac vice to litigate cases in the Federal and State courts in Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and the Superior Court in California.

Education
Shira received a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Communication, cum laude, from Boston University in 1994. She also received a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1998, where she was an Editor on the Moot Court Honor Society and was inducted to the Order of the Barristers.
